Effective July 25, 2026
Privacy, in plain language.
The extension checks for the daily word on your device. Your writing never leaves your browser and complete sentences are never saved.
What Lexiloop processes
To recognize when you use the daily word, Lexiloop temporarily examines text as you type in ordinary webpage text inputs, textareas, and editable fields. Password fields are ignored. This processing happens locally and only determines whether the exact daily word appeared.
What Lexiloop stores
Lexiloop stores a small progress record in Chrome’s local extension storage:
- the current date and daily word;
- the number of times the word was used that day;
- your daily streak; and
- up to 90 days of word, date, and usage-count history.
Lexiloop does not store typed sentences, field contents, website addresses, browsing history, names, email addresses, account information, or identifiers.
Data transmission and sharing
The extension has no backend, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party data services. It makes no network requests and does not transmit or share user data with the developer or any third party.
Permissions
Lexiloop uses Chrome’s storage permission to retain local progress. It runs a content script on ordinary HTTP and HTTPS pages so it can provide its advertised word-detection feature. Access is used only for local exact-word detection and the in-page success message.
Control and deletion
You can delete all Lexiloop data at any time by removing the extension from Chrome. Chrome also provides controls for limiting an extension’s site access.
Children
Lexiloop does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. No personal information is transmitted to the developer.
Changes
If Lexiloop’s data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the new practices are introduced.
Contact
Privacy questions may be submitted through the project’s GitHub issue tracker.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Lexiloop’s use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide the extension’s single-purpose vocabulary coaching feature.
